The Auditor General, Vlora Spanca and the Executive Director of the Institute for Accounting, Auditing and Finance (IKAF), Bujar Krasniqi signed a cooperation agreement for supporting the NAO in the development of capacities and staffs’ professional skills.
The professional development program will be provided in accordance with the international standards for supreme audit institutions and aims to cover certain areas related to the role and function of the NAO.
The parties agreed that within this cooperation other development activities will be included, in order to further develop the institutional capacities of the NAO in accordance with the highest standards.
The agreement was signed as a continuation of the previous cooperation between NAO and IKAF, whilst it is worth noting that, according to the agreement, IKAF will offer NAO 12 hours of professional education free of charge.
The Auditor General Mrs. Vlora Spanca extended her thanks to the IKAF management for their continuous cooperation and professional support to the NAO auditors, in particular for providing free training services. “Knowledge enhancement and new audit practices through educational opportunities will further strengthen the quality of work and will be an added value to the NAO”, said Mrs. Spanca.
The Executive Director of IKAF, Mr. Bujar Krasniqi stated that “this agreement aims to increase professional standards in auditing, through continuous professional education, seminars and other joint activities and is based under the motto of INTOSAI: ‘Mutual experience benefits all’ “.
