The Auditor General, Vlora Spanca, hosted in a meeting the international expert, Geoffrey Dubrow. The meeting was held at the request of The Agency for Gender Equality which is being supported by UN Women for some of the activities being carried out for gender equality.
The concept document and the feasibility study for the evaluation of the electronic budget systems of the Republic of Kosovo for the implementation of Gender-Responsive Budgeting (GRB) were discussed in this meeting. The challenges and possibilities of the budget system for the implementation of GRB were also discussed in this meeting. Mr. Dubrow has been informed about the mandate of the National Audit Office, the types of audits and their performance based on international auditing standards.
The Auditor General has expressed her willingness on supporting the initiative on implementing the feasibility study which will serve in better orientation of the working groups that will draft the normative/legal acts for the implementation of the GRB.
In addition to the Auditor General, Vlora Spanca, the Assistant Auditor General, Mrs. Myrvete Gashi Morina and the Official on monitoring and reporting from the Agency for Gender Equality, Mrs Albana Lumi attended the meeting.
