Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Mr. Besim Kelmendi, received the Acting General Director of the National Audit Office (NAO) of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Safet Berisha in a working meeting on Tuesday.
Further strengthening of the so far excellent cooperation between the institution of the State Prosecutor and the National Audit Office of the Republic of Kosovo was the topic of discussion in this meeting, with an emphasis on the implementation of the rule of law and the fight against financial fraud and other illegal acts.
During this meeting, the parties agreed to draw up a draft agreement for cooperation between these two institutions, which is expected to be signed soon and which will aim to facilitate the coordination of inter-institutional activities.
Acting General Director of NAO, Safet Berisha, was accompanied by Mr. Besim Tafa, legal expert from USAID-Activity for Integrity of Kosovo Municipalities, who will help in drafting this cooperation agreement, as well as the responsible officer in the Department for Legal Affairs and Anti-Fraud, Natyra Kasumaj.
