Benefitting from the mutual methodology – this was the topic of discussions in the third regional meeting between the SAIs of North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo held in Tirana on May 25 and 26 with the support of UN Women. The National Audit Office of Kosovo was represented by the Assistant Auditor General, Myrvete Gashi and the audit team members Ardiana Miftari, Ylfete Osmani and Arlinda Mustafa.
The representatives of the three SAIs have examined the preliminary results of the pre-study stage of the mutual audit on Gender Equality and Strengthening of Women in Rural Ares by Including them in the Labour Market.
The audit teams also discussed on the audit questions and approach and agreed on the further steps.
UN Women Program Specialist, Ermira Lubani, highlighted the important role the Supreme Audit Institutions play in strengthening the women in rural areas economically. In addition, Ms Lubani disclosed the UN Women plans on future projects regarding the gender-perspective audits, taking into consideration the SAIs capacities.
